Volna is a Swiss watch brand founded in Geneva in 2007 by Eleonore Paschoud and François Candolfi (with Marc Calmonte also cited), veterans of houses such as Audemars Piguet. Despite its Russian name—volna means “wave”—and models named after Soviet/Russian submarines, production is Swiss; the Typhoon dive series, launched around 2007 with strong water resistance and titanium options, references Typhoon-class boats and Zlatoust military diver heritage.
