Vianney Halter

Vianney Halter is a French-born independent watchmaker based in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, who founded La Manufacture Janvier in 1994 (named after Antide Janvier) and debuted his steampunk-inspired Antiqua perpetual calendar at Baselworld in 1998 while joining the AHCI. Known for multi-dial “instrument” aesthetics, innovative calendar and jumping-hour constructions and tiny production, Halter won the Prix Gaïa (Craftsmanship-Creation) in 2016. Collectors prize Antiqua, Classic and later creations as signatures of literary, retro-futurist haute horology.
