Urban Jürgensen

Urban Jürgensen traces its roots to Copenhagen in 1773, when Jürgen Jürgensen partnered with Isaac Larpent; Jürgen’s son Urban became a celebrated maker of precision chronometers and marine instruments. The name stands for classical Scandinavian-Danish haute horology—hand-finished movements, observatory-inspired dials and refined dress watches—later continued through Swiss production under successive owners. Recent revival efforts emphasise traditional finishing and historically informed references such as the 1741 line for collectors of independent classical watchmaking.
