U-Boat is an Italian luxury watch brand founded in 2000 near Lucca, Tuscany, by designer Italo Fontana. Inspired by 1940s sketches attributed to his grandfather Ilvo Fontana for Italian naval use, the brand is known for oversized cases, left-crown layouts, aged dials and submarine motifs, with Swiss movements in Italian-designed cases.
