Temption

Temption is a German boutique watchmaker based in Herrenberg, founded by mechanical engineer Klaus Ulbrich (formerly of IBM). Sources place the company start around 1996–1997, with a Baselworld debut in 1998; production is deliberately limited—on the order of a few hundred watches per year.

Design blends Bauhaus clarity with a Wabi-Sabi appreciation of understated imperfection: highly legible dials, functional cases and carefully tested mechanical movements. Temption appeals to individualists seeking German engineering intimacy rather than fashion branding.
