Technos

Technos began in Switzerland in 1900 with the Gunzinger family of Welschenrohr and was registered as a trademark in 1924; it grew into a major exporter, especially to Japan and Brazil. Brazilian entrepreneur Mário Goettems became exclusive distributor via Centauro in 1956, opened assembly in Manaus in the 1980s and later acquired the brand rights, making Technos a leading Brazilian watch company. Today Grupo Technos produces accessible quartz and mechanical lines at scale for the Latin American market while still referencing its Swiss origins in premium collections such as Essence.
