Revue Thommen

Revue Thommen traces its roots to 1853, when the municipality of Waldenburg founded a watchmaking company later taken over by Gédéon Thommen and Louis Tschopp; Thommen became sole owner and built the family firm. From 1916 the maison supplied chronographs and cockpit instruments to Swiss aviation, expanding into altimeters and airspeed indicators alongside wristwatches.

Today GT Thommen Watch AG continues the civilian watch lines—aviation-inspired pilots and divers—while related Thommen entities handle aircraft equipment. The brand remains a classic Swiss name for functional instruments with a long military and airline heritage.
