About Perrelet
Perrelet traces its name to Abraham-Louis Perrelet (1729-1826), the Swiss watchmaker credited with pioneering self-winding pocket-watch mechanisms with an oscillating weight around 1777. The modern maison revives that automatic heritage: the patented Double Rotor (1990s) placed a visible rotor on the dial side, evolving in 2009 into the iconic Turbine collection with a 12-blade dial turbine that spins with wrist motion.
Today Perrelet produces Swiss mechanical sports and dress watches—Turbine, Turbine Pilot, Double Rotor lines—under contemporary ownership, celebrating motion aesthetics and automatic winding history rather than ultra-thin classical dress only. The brand remains a recognisable independent name in accessible haute and upper-premium Swiss watchmaking.
