Mondaine

Mondaine was founded in 1951 by Erwin Bernheim as a Swiss watch-trading business that later moved into manufacturing. Its signature wristwatches are based on Hans Hilfiker's 1944 Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) station clock — the minimalist white dial with red paddle seconds hand. Mondaine obtained official SBB licensing and launched the railway-inspired collection in 1986. The Mondaine Group also develops related brands and remains closely identified with Swiss public-time design.
