About H. Moser & Cie.

H. Moser & Cie. takes its name from Heinrich Moser, a Schaffhausen watchmaker who founded his business in St. Petersburg in 1828 and later financed the dam on the Rhine at Schaffhausen. The firm was divided after his death in 1874, and its Russian operations were expropriated after the 1917 revolution. In 2002 Moser's great-grandson Roger Nicholas Balsiger and Jürgen Lange revived the name, relaunched in 2005; since 2012 the brand has belonged to MELB Holding, the Meylan family company, with Edouard Meylan as chief executive.

The manufacture in Neuhausen am Rheinfall makes its own movements and, through its sister company Precision Engineering AG, its own hairsprings. The house is known for fumé dials that darken from centre to rim, for Concept dials without logo or indices, and for the Endeavour, Pioneer and Streamliner collections, the last introduced in 2020 with an integrated steel bracelet. The Swiss Alp Watch of 2016 was presented as a mechanical response to the smartwatch.
