Gerald Charles

Gerald Charles is an independent Swiss watch maison founded in 2000 by legendary designer Gérald Charles Genta, who gave the brand his two first names. After selling his earlier eponymous brand, Genta created Gerald Charles as a freer creative project; in 2003 he entrusted the company to the Ziviani family while remaining chief designer until his death in 2011.

Relaunched under Federico Ziviani from 2019, the house builds high-end Swiss watches from Genta’s archive drawings—notably the asymmetrical Maestro case inspired by Baroque architecture—and pursues artistic creativity with technical mastery, including complex calendars and limited series aimed at collectors.
