Gallet

Gallet is a historic Swiss watch company founded in 1826 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Julien Gallet. Long known for stopwatches and specialized chronographs for aviation, motorsport and exploration, the firm acquired the Electa factory and launched the MultiChron line, including early waterproof chronographs such as the MultiChron Clamshell. Gallet timing instruments were associated with early aviation milestones, and the Flying Officer became a celebrated model.

After leaving family ownership in the 1990s, the brand remained Swiss-held and was acquired by Breitling with a planned bicentenary relaunch around 2026. Today Gallet stands for professional chronograph heritage aiming at accessible luxury under new ownership.
