About Aristo

Aristo is a German watch brand whose roots go back to 1907, when watchmaker Julius Epple founded Julius Epple KG in Pforzheim; the Aristo name was used from the mid-1920s and registered in 1936. The firm historically made watch cases and complete watches, including military timepieces. In 1998 Hansjörg Vollmer acquired the brand and in 2005 merged it with the family's Vollmer metal-bracelet manufactory (est. 1922) as Aristo Vollmer GmbH. Today Aristo is known for pilot and aviation-inspired watches, plus related lines such as Messerschmitt, produced in Pforzheim.
