AquastarMicrobrand

Aquastar is a Swiss professional dive-watch maker founded in Geneva in 1962 by Frédéric Robert, who renamed the family's JeanRichard S.A. workshop Aquastar S.A. to focus on underwater instruments. Between the late 1950s and 1970s the workshop filed key dive-watch patents (including no-decompression bezels and waterproof crowns) and produced models such as the Deepstar, Model 60 and 500 m Benthos. After decades of regatta timers, mechanical dive watches returned around 2020; the brand is now associated with the Synchron Group and a workshop in Biel/Bienne.
