About Aigle
Aigle is a French outdoor footwear and apparel company founded in 1853 in Montargis by American entrepreneur Hiram Hutchinson, who introduced vulcanised rubber boot technology to France. The brand became synonymous with countryside and hunting lifestyle products, later expanding into clothing and accessories under successive ownership, including MF Brands Group.
Although primarily known for rubber boots and outdoor wear rather than as a dedicated watch manufacture, Aigle has at times offered licensed or lifestyle watches aligned with its outdoor image. In a watch-brand catalogue context it appears as a fashion/lifestyle label with deep French heritage rather than a specialised horological manufacture.
